About 100 people showed up at 1000 de la Gauchetiere West to protest against the Mubarak regime. Many were carrying signs branded with phrases such as “Egypt wants Mubarak out” and “Solidarity with the Egyptian people”.

Similar rallies were held in both Ottawa and Toronto.

According to the Montreal Gazette, a follow-up protest has been scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00PM — also at 1000 de la Gauchetiere West.
